Vegas Baby!!!

We decided this summer to go to Las Vegas for vacation. Ben has fond memories of going there with his Dad as a kid. So we invited Jeanette's family, Lynn's family, and Laurann to go along too. 20 people in a two bedroom condo.... seems normal right? We had tons of family and tons of fun!!!!
ONLY IN VEGAS!!!! We took the kids to play at a park and Cora made some new friends. They were playing some variation of cops and robbers but when it was time to leave and the kid couldn't get the handcuffs off he started hitting Cora's arm and cussing up a storm. Finally Jeanette saved her. On the way home Ben said he saw the kid's "dancer" mom and she had a black eye. Sooo sad!! Granger was right there being so sweet worried about his sister!

Waiting for the pirate show that was cancelled due to wind. I said "what wind?" Cameo laughed at me because when you are from Snowflake it's not windy until you have trouble walking. ha-ha

Nolan looks exausted but he never complained about the heat or walking. What a trooper! Emmie with her finger up her nose. Holly this ones for you!

Emmie was a 100% Daddy's girl on this trip! She would barely let me touch her. I was really glad that she never wanted me to carry her though-I was tired just carrying myself!!



Before we left Emmie had a fever with no other symptoms. Weird! It started Sunday night and finally by Friday I took her in. The dr. said she was fine and must be an virus and should go away in a day or two. After 10 straight days she finally got better. She was waiting for her motrin to kick in and watching Dora with Carter. Poor baby!

There were really cool things to see inside the hotels!! The kids loved it. Those blue flowers are real!

I love this picture! Jeanette, Waylon, Easton, Paige, Carter, Marlee, Bailey, Cora, Laura, Jamie, Cameo, Jonah-hiding, Lynn, and Granger. Ben, Emmie, Nolan, and are already got off. Quite a crew but our buddy system rocked!

BAILEY'S 10TH BIRTHDAY!!!!!!

Bailey had a great birthday! I can't believe my baby girl is 10 years old!! She asked for chicken caesar salad for her special dinner and had to have blue icing on her cake. We got her some books and an MP3 player. She was so excited!!

Jeanette and I were in the front room chatting and started talking about taking out the tile in the entry way. We wanted to know if there was wood under and what condition it was in. Well all you have to do is mention a project to Jeanette and she'll jump all over it so next thing we knew we all had tools. Marlee, Carter, and Paige all helped too! Poor Rick! He got there before Ben and ended up helping us finish! I'm glad to say that the wood looks great so now the whole room will be the original wood and the room looks bigger!! Now Ben just has to sand it and then we will stain the whole room.

Open house at Nolan's school

Nolan had an open house at school. He sang songs with his whole first grade ( I couldn't see him though because he was behind a tall girl) then he proudly showed me his desk and I got to take him home early. This was also a sad day because we helped Holly clean her house so she was ready to leave to Queen Creek the next day. P.S. Cami she is in your ward now Funny Funny!

The Snowflake cousins

This was a really sad day!! Lynn and Cameo and their kids left town. Jeanette was so thoughtful and made the kids little travel buckets with fun stuff to do on their trip!! Even though they will be back soon to load their u-haul it was still sad and I couldn't help from breaking down and crying. We have loved living next door to them and will miss them terribly. I just hold on to the fact that they are trying to move back when Lynn is done with school. Good luck Johnsons on your new adventure!!!

Mothers Day

I had a really great mothers day this year!! I got a waffle maker so we had a yummy breakfast with homemade syrup, strawberries and whipped cream! My kids got me really thoughtful gifts too! Carter got me a crossword book-I'm addicted, Bailey a frog for my frog bathroom, and Nolan a dog statue. He said " Mom I know you love dogs but don't want a real dog in the house so I got you this." What a sweet boy!! Ben wrapped my gift in this awesome paper he made and then gave me more gifts at random times throughout the day. He's one great guy! Between all the frogs he got me and the one Bailey got my bathroom looks great!
