So our house seems to constantly be under construction but I absolutely love it! When we first moved in we ripped carpet out of both bathrooms and de-wallpapered them!! We also ripped out two layers of carpet in the front room and discovered that the bottom layer was glued to the original hardwood. We pulled out tile through the entry and all the way down our hallway! We have also done tons of painting! The crazy thing is I don't even feel 1/2 way done yet!! There is still lots of painting, sanding, floors to refinish, re-tile, and work in the bathrooms and the kitchen! We have regained a little energy to get some things done before the baby comes so we'll see how far we get! After getting all the tile out in the hallway, we found out that the hardwood changes directions and has a huge spot that was ripped out. It was probably taken out to add plumbing but the just covered the space with thick pieces of wood. We're hoping to duplicate the wood and fix the end of the hall. Old houses are crazy- you never know what you will find! I love living in a house with so much character and I only wish the walls could talk to tell me all the amazing things they have seen through out the years! P.S. Cedar tell Heath that's the show I couldn't think of the other day- If walls could talk! HA HA

Gotta love irregation!!
Nolan and Emmerie love when we get irregation! They think it is so cool to help Dad and play in the water!
Don't ya just love how Dad puts on bathing suits!! He said "hey I'm not a girl- I don't know how it goes." So cute that he helps her get ready so she can play and get wet!
I do have to say it's great to get this much water every 10 days from March until October for $30!!! Pretty awesome deal if you ask me!

Carter loves hamburgers!
Whenever we make hamburgers at home Carter is still hungry! So this time Ben made him two so he decided to make a double burger! We were teasing him that he wouldn't be able to finish but he sure did! Every last bite!! (Don't you love our pink 80's blinds? I just decided what I want to do in our dining room so hopefully we'll get started soon!)

Happy Birthday Jeanette!!! Today is my sister-in laws birthday! It's so fun to get together with the Shumways and hang out! We really missed living by them when we were in PA for 5 years. Now were only about 4 minutes away and yet we don't get together as much as we should!! Hopefully we'll get back on the scrapbooking ball now that school is back in! Jeanette is one of the sweetest gals I know! She is also an amazing mother. She will drop whatever she is doing to help one of her kids! And the patience this woman has is incredible!!! She is my favorite home decorator ever! Out of all the famous people who have their own show... she wins hands down!! She can take crap and turn it into beautiful! She is a wonderful writer too! She is just an all around awesome person and I'm proud to call her my SIL!! Hope you have a great day Jeanette!!!

First Day of school!
Kids are so crazy!! I'm trying to be the mom that can just lets things go and lets my kids be themselves. It's really hard! When they are little and want to wear their swimming suit all day I can get over that....well as long as we're not going anywhere. Carter refused to wear new clothes today- an old pair of shorts and long sleeves yes long. Why? I don't know but I decided to let it go. Bailey thinks she's from the 80's. She begged to wear this skirt and shirt that a friend gave to her. Ben and I had a really hard time because it's a little short but decided to let her with the leggings. I wish I had taken a better picture of her hair. I think it's cute but I'm falling behind on what's in style so I'm not sure. I don't even know where she came up with it but part of her hair is back and then her bangs are all combed to the side. Then there is Nolan who wanted to wear his Las Vegas $2.00 t-shirt that we bought on the strip with a pair of old shorts to match. So basically, I have no idea why I bothered to shop for back to school clothes if the first day they don't wear anything new! I know Bailey and Nolan will the rest of the week but Carter says he hates all his new clothes and didn't ask for anything new. Can you say pre-teen anyone? I guess it will save me money so I shouldn't complain right? Kids really do get harder and harder as they get older! All those new mom's complaining about fussy babies or not sleeping through the night come talk to me when they get older and want to be their own person. Remember they might be crying but they still want you to hold them and take care of them....It's hard to let them go!

Emmie preparing for school......in 3 years!
This one's for you Grandma Curtis! Emmerie loves her Dora backpack or pack-pack as she calls it! She likes to drag it, roll it, or carry it all over the house! Sorry about the wild hair I'm sure you want to brush it. She went through a stage where she would barely let me touch it but she's doing better now. Even this morning she said "My hair is not pretty" She had just woke up. Funny girl!

Last week of summer!
So this is the last week of summer. My kids start school on Monday. No exciting plans- the kids just wanna have a sleep over with their cousins. Me I'm just going to enjoy sleeping in for a few more days. It's not that I'm lazy but I love to stay up late and hang out with Ben. It's more exciting when there is no time limit-no bed time I feel like a kid! j/k I wouldn't go that far I feel like crap with this pregnancy. My morning sickness only subsided for about a month. I'm almost into my 3rd trimester and never really got to relax in the middle before the tired, huge, homestretch. I'm a little nervous for our trip ti PA So many hours trapped in our car with 4 kids one who is in her terrible two phase! She is still wonderful just a little more challenging!! Wow we will leave our house and I will be 32 weeks prego!!! I'm so excited to see all my family just nervous about how MY family will feel about me by the time we get there! I hope they don't leave me along side the road somewhere!
