We've been through a lot together! Good times and bad! We've lived in 11 different houses in 6 different towns. We've been through the birth of 4 amazing kids, many jobs, a few pets, and many crazy changes! It has all been great and keeps getting better because I'm going through it all with you! You're the best!

What a fun Dad!
Ben with his crazy contraption! He loves to have fun and be adventurous but maybe now that you are 29 it's time to calm down! He had a metal plate to hold his bone together and pins to hold his other bone in place!
Ben's last birthday. Another accident. Are you sensing a pattern? I hope not!

Our Sweet Girl
Two more funny things about Emmerie. Sorry but these are for me so I can remember. For quite a while I have been asking "are you my girl?" She was pretty little so she didn't respond until one day she said "no Daddy's girl". We thought that was hilarious. Still to this day she has never wavered even if I bribe her she is always Daddy's girl! Emmerie just started singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. She sings "tinkle tinkle star" a few times and then sings "you are" it's the sweetest thing! We love our little Emmerie and spend many a day (whatever that means) enjoying her!

I thought I would jot down two quick funny things about Emmerie. She started saying "Mommy huggle me. " Ben and I were like where did she get that? Then I realized that when she is sad or tired I say "Come here Emmie and let me snuggle you." She is so funny! She just mixed hug and snuggle! Also the other night I had a migraine and went to bed early so Ben was playing with her and later she came to me and kept fussing about her Dora can. Ben came in and handed her a can of spegettio's with Dora on them and she climbed into bed with me and her Dora can. She's totally obsessed with Dora!! These cute little things are the bonuses of being a parent!

Read bottom story first!
And the plot thickens!!! What a surprise she got it in her hair too. Wish me luck that I can get this out so I don't have to bob her!!

Why do kids not listen?
So I woke up this morning and Emmerie was fussing because she couldn't roll over. I grabbed her and literally ripped her from the sheet. She was stuck. I then realized that we had green goo on her warm jammies, on my new shirt from Christmas, and on our sheets. Lovely! I then realized the green goo was Nolan's the same green goo that I asked him last night to put back in the container and put on the kitchen counter. He claims he never heard me. He decided to take it to bed with him and then Emmie came in and stole it from him. He said "I tried to get it back from her but she screamed at me". So he let a 22 month old take a big pile of green goo without telling anyone. Well it ended up in my bed. After all this I got the girl I babysit this morning and she threw a huge fit when she came in which is unlike her, and I found three fun messes in my living room (I knew they were there when I went to bed and didn't care but now I'm a little frustrated so now they bothered me) A box of gold fish dumped out on the carpet-Emmie, a pile of cut paper scraps-Nolan, and tons of sock strings all over the carpet-Carter. He can't handle strings hanging from anywhere especially his socks so he rips them until it no longer resembles a sock. Then as I began cleaning the floor I realized it had been 40 minutes since I woke up Nolan and he was still in bed. After yelling at him he finally got up and stood in front of his dresser and screamed for 5 minutes about not having any pants. I spanked him and then found him 2 pairs of pants. He then threw a fit about how he was going to freeze to death if he got dressed. Likely story....but he got spanked again. He finally got ready and Ben took him to school 15 minutes late!! As Ben kissed me and went to work he said "May your day be better than your morning was" I will be clinging to those sweet words the rest of my day. Why can't Nolan just listen to his mother? P.S. I promise I don't beat my kids!! We only do time out and grounding but no punishment works for Nolan and he's kind of hard so we went back to spanking. He usually only gets about 1 a week except in extreme cases of fit throwing which I constantly remind him is now Emmerie's territory so he can let it go now!

These are our cool things that are in our front room. We decided to go with an old world themed room thanks to the wood floor and the wall. The wall was cracking so Ben broke down all the crackly stuff and was planning to fix it but we fell in love with the history of the adobe and it just works in this room!! We found the wood thing in our backyard. My sister-in-law Jeanette with her amazing eye found it and so we put it on the wall. Ben was a little apprehensive at first. I told him people pay money for this junk. He thought that was funny but now that the room is coming together he likes it. I love old houses!!

This picture was taken a few days before Christmas. Can you believe how much hair my child has? She is only 21 months old and can have her hair french braided!! I can tell it is going to thicken just like Bailey's and I can't french braid her hair anymore because I can't hold it all in my hands. Too thick! Most people think they are lucky but it's not easy to have thick hair. I remember having contests with Mandy Rogers to see whose hair was thicker!! Funny!
P.S. Happy Birthday to my brother Derek!!! He's the big 26 today!!
